Xe xúc E55W là loại 5,5 tấn và là mô đen xe xúc bánh hơi đầu tiên của Bobcat.

Xe xúc E55W với trang bị tiêu chuẩn có trọng lượng vận hành 5550 kg và chiều sâu đào tối đa đạt 3495 mm.

Trang bị tiêu chuẩn bao gồm điều hòa nhiệt độ, thiết bị cảnh báo quá tải, đường thủy lực phụ trợ thứ hai và van an toàn để tránh quá tải với hệ thống thủy lực của tay nâng gầu hoặc lưỡi ủi.

Nâng cao tải trọng nâng, chu kỳ làm việc, mô men xoay toa đáp ứng năng suất làm việc cao với tiêu chuẩn độ ồn thấp. Cabin rộng rãi giúp thợ vận hành thoải mái trong cả ngày làm việc. Panel điều khiển và màn hình hiển thị cho phép nhanh chóng biết được tình trạng hoạt động thực tế của xe khi vận hành. Hệ thống ống thủy lực được bố trí bên trong tay gầu,  khóa nhún giảm chấn bánh xe giúp xe xúc ổn định tối ưu. Do lực kéo di chuyển mạnh mẽ và góc quay hạn chế có góc lớn nhất trong nhóm xe cùng loại, xe xúc E55W có khả năng hoạt động tốt ở địa hình có độ dốc.

Xe xúc này được trang bị hệ thống phun nhiên liệu điện tử đã làm tối ưu hóa tiêu thụ nhiên liệu và giảm tiếng ồn động cơ. Việc thiết kế được máy tính trợ giúp đắc lực để chế tạo những vật liệu và phụ tùng làm việc ở những điều kiện khắc nghiệt. Do vậy, xe xúc loại này có độ tin cậy đặc biệt và đóng góp vào việc giảm đáng kể chi phí vận hành  thiết bị.

Rất nhiều công nghệ mới được áp dụng để đơn giản hóa và giảm nhẹ công tác kiểm tra, bảo trì bảo dưỡng nhằm tối đa hiệu quả vận hành. Xe có thể di chuyển với vận tốc 30 km/h (và tùy thuộc vào các quy định tại địa phương)

Features and benefits

Cabin comfort and visibility

An oversized cab provides generous space so the operator can work comfortably all day long. The instrument panel is designed to allow a quick check of the machine working condition during operation. Visibility to the working area is enhanced thanks to the pipe routing inside the boom width. For work at night, the excavator has 3 halogen lights, 2 mounted on the boom and 1 on top of the cab, in addition to the travel lights.

HVAC

Standard equipment includes a high flow, low noise air conditioning system. Temperature, power and air flow direction are fully adjustable, with several air outputs placed in the cab to provide a uniform temperature.

Suspension Lock

For optimum stability when working, the suspension can be locked by pressing a switch on the control panel to make the undercarriage more rigid.

Higher gradability and work capability

Boom/Dozer blade safety valve and Overload warning device
Safety valves in the boom and dozer blade hydraulic systems prevent these assemblies from dropping in the event of a cylinder pipe rupture. An overload warning device is standard equipment

Electronically controlled engine with Auto Idle system

An electronic injection system continuously adjusts the amount of fuel injected to optimize fuel consumption and reduce emissions and engine noise to a minimum level. Auto Idle control reduces engine speed to low idle after a few seconds whenever the excavator controls are not in use. As soon as the operator activates any control function, the engine immediately returns to the previous throttle level. Auto Idle helps to reduce fuel consumption considerably.

Reliability

Thanks to computer aided design and use of robust materials and components tested under extreme conditions, the E55W offers excellent reliability, which contributes to low lifetime operating costs. Finite element design is used to limit fatigue and improve the durability and reliability of the boom and dipperstick. The undercarriage is designed to be robust and stable for improved reliability and durability.

Easy access for daily service and long grease intervals

The most advanced technology has been incorporated in the E55W to enable simple and easy maintenance, with convenient check points to maximize work efficiency. A large rear cover provides easy access to the engine, pumps, radiators, filters and all other components for daily maintenance and service. The cab can be tilted to allow ready access to the main valve. Thanks to the use of sintered metals, grease intervals for the workgroup pins have been extended to 250 hours.
